This is the week of 29º – the anaretic degree, a degree sometimes referred to as a “fated” degree, a degree that can be kind of intense and climactic.
29º is the last degree of every sign, so there is quite a lot of urgency and pressure surrounding it. It’s the feeling that we are running out of time and have to make something happen NOW. I’ve always described this as a sense that we are in the finals and there is one minute left on the clock and we gotta! pull! this! off! Shoes squeaking across the court, fans screaming, sweat and exhaustion and electricity. 29º feels tense and brings things to extremes. (It’s also cute that the actual NBA season is wrapping up in the next week-ish; I don’t really follow sports but I’m curious about what might come up 👀)
Mercury, Venus, and the sun in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces will all reach 29º this week, so the sun, Venus and Mercury will all square Neptune at this urgent, pressurized degree. This month’s squares to Neptune take the nebulous symbolism of Neptune and bring it into our everyday lives. They insist on clarity, questions, and language where normally there is only ever an eerie howling coming from deep within a foggy forest, or a catchy, simple song that has us all singing along around the campfire without ever really hearing the sinister messages within it, and without ever considering why we’re not allowed to leave the campfire.
Below is a deeper look at each of these transits, and the rest of your transits for the week.
