Lunar Eclipse in Pisces Horoscopes + Forecast
portals, clarity, don't worry darling, waking up (phase I)
THIS ECLIPSE…
on one hand: it carves something sharp into the foggy, unbounded expanse that Neptune in Pisces has had us lost in for over a decade now. This eclipse is a cleaver made of blood-red light, and what has been hazy, blue and uncertain for so long is now made stark in red, black and white.
on the other hand: it’s a blonde little girl’s rabbit hole. We hop in and things become “curiouser and curiouser.” It’s “a very merry unbirthday” to all. People will be behaving strangely around this eclipse – “the weirdos are (truly) out.” Upside down and topsy-turvy.
THE BASICS on this eclipse
This is lunar eclipse takes place on September 17th (or 18th, depending on your time zone) on the north node at 25º Pisces, conjunct Neptune in Pisces. Tangible changes and events are likely to take place around this eclipse, though there may be plenty of symbolic implications too.
A preview: themes that come up now hint at what we’ll be looking at for the next two-ish years.
The illusion becomes so absurd that we can’t NOT see it as what it is: an illusion.
The larger Neptune in Pisces story is tied in: culty, aesthetically minimalistic, algorithmically echoic, creative, spiritual, hazy, lost, preaching to the choir.
Themes: Challenging reality, clarifying, confusion, losing things, finding things (or people?), contradictions.
The image: the mirror-window portal in Don’t Worry Darling, and what happens when you cross through that portal.
Tangible changes and events are likely to take place around this eclipse, though there may be plenty of symbolic implications too.
FORECAST for this eclipse
This eclipse is a reality-challenging, spell-breaking, illusion-shattering, revelatory kind of eclipse. Sometimes eclipses like this can represent deeds done under the covered veil of the cosmic night, but for the most part this eclipse feels more revelatory to me. This is an eclipse that speaks to a few of September’s monthly themes too.
This a very significant eclipse, for a few reasons:
First, it’s the first eclipse in the Pisces/Virgo series, so it’s a preview of what’s to come in the next two-ish years while the eclipses/nodes are in these signs. Pay attention to what comes up around this eclipse – these events hint at themes you’ll be addressing for the next two years.
Second, it’s conjunct Neptune in Pisces, so the larger Neptune in Pisces story of the last 12-13 years is tied into this eclipse. It’s sort of the first sign of Neptune in Pisces’ demise – Neptune is being eclipsed here and parts of it will disappear and parts will emerge in new, strange configurations. The image that comes to mind is the mirror-window portal in Don’t Worry Darling, and what happens when you cross through that portal.
This eclipse is like Neptune in Pisces revelations on steroids but the illusion becomes so absurd that we can’t NOT see it as what it is: an illusion. This is an eclipse that challenges reality, even when reality has been an illusion. Neptune in Pisces’ fog has been used for all kinds of nefarious purposes but the repercussions of hiding things, escapism, avoiding reality, tricking people, lying, and much more become clearer from here on out. Some will try to conceal things around this eclipse, but nothing hidden now will stay hidden for long. Neptune in Pisces’ days are numbered – it will leave Pisces for the first time at the end of March 2025. This month is just the first of many dominos to fall.
For 13 years, Neptune in Pisces has been culty, aesthetically minimalistic, and algorithmically echoic. It’s the feeling of preaching to the choir, even if you think you’re out spreading the word. For 13 years Neptune in Pisces has been the Cheshire Cat declaring, “I am not crazy, my reality is just different from yours,” and we’ve taken it to an extreme inside of our echo chambers, fear-driven conspiracy theories, and cult-like belief in anything from bizarre diets to certain political figures to business coaches whose only qualifications are having been coached to coach and more. This is the first cosmic event that really begins to shatters some of Neptune in Pisces’ delusion, or at least signifies the beginning of the end of the Neptune in Pisces era. It’s easy to believe, too, that they (whoever ‘they’ are to you) are the ones who are delusional, but Neptune is transiting somewhere in your chart too.
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER for this eclipse + its many implications
What are you waking up to this month? What is your revelation?
What and how many rosy dreams are actually nightmares?
What has been hard for you to hold onto for the last 12 to 13 years? (Hint: It has to do with where Pisces is in your chart. These things will gradually become easier to hold onto over the next two or so years.)
Have you felt like you’re drifting aimlessly through the area of life symbolized by the house of your chart ruled by Pisces for the last 12 to 13 years? What might life feel like without that?
Can you bring more creativity and spirituality into your life in positive and healthy ways?
What are you awakening to that could have been obvious under any other circumstances? What is suddenly becoming clearer after 12 to 13 years of haziness?
This is a dream you’ll be continually awakening from for the next couple years.
