A lot of modern astrology takes on a rather “use once and throw away” kind of flavor, and that’s something that we have to change. It’s boring and shallow and it’s one of the zillion faces of overconsumption. Why are we only taking in more and more and more information, looking to the future and never pausing, reflecting, or looking to the past? Isn’t that the kind of thing so many of us criticize the dominant culture for doing?

The only way to even learn astrology to begin with — to learn in a real, solid, grounded and reality-based way — is to reflect, look back, and refuse to discard the past. The past is the secret to understanding most things in astrology. Every single time I write a forecast, I’m looking back at past instances of present transits. Nothing is ever going to show up in exactly the same way twice, because time is a spiral rather than a perfect circle, but seeing what happened then will always give us insight into what is happening now or what will happen later. Once we’re intimate with the characteristics of all the planets, we can identify which transit signifies which event and we can expect similar things to arise next time. We may not be experiencing the same exact thing again, like a repeating chorus, but the past speaks to the present “like the chorus to the verse.” They’re two parts of the same song.

This month, I encourage you to look back at last month’s forecast(s) & horoscopes (here’s a link to January’s forecast & horoscopes, and here’s a link to all the weekly forecasts) and consider how these things panned out in your actual real life. There is no benefit in throwing the past into the landfill. What is beneficial is reflecting on what happened for you the last month, what these transits actually felt like for you, and what did and did not resonate in the forecasts and horoscopes. I don’t write about astrology because I’m chasing some capitalistic dangling carrot nor is it to feed the intellectual overconsumption that’s frying our nervous systems. I write about astrology because it’s supportive and clarifying and it reconnects us to the actual nature of time — it’s not a line but a spiral.

In other news, I officially released my music by aquarius playlist — a playlist made up entirely of music written or performed by people who have their sun, moon, rising or chart ruler in Aquarius. It’s been shockingly popular so far (it currently has over 2,000 saves; I’m stunned tbh). I’ll slowly be releasing playlists curated in the same way for all the other signs too. I’ve literally been working on these for over three years and I’m really excited to have finally started putting them out there for you all!

I also have other astrology-themed playlists here, including ones for the Pluto in Aquarius and Saturn in Pisces transits. I think music is a really really easy way to get a feel for a transit or a sign. Like, you don’t have know anything about astrology but if you listen to the music, you get it.

Anyway! February is a month of dreaming, moving, and getting a head start. Mars finally goes direct this month, Neptune and the north node in Pisces douse the entire month in their smog, and we prepare for March & April’s Venus and Mercury retrogrades. Below the cut you’ll find:

☆ Horoscopes for the zodiac signs for February 2025 (incl. what to look forward, what to be cautious about, how to make the best of the month, and what the new & full moons are about for your rising sign)

☆ The signs that will be the “main characters” this February

☆ The major themes of February 2025

☆ A map of February’s transits
