This week starts off on a rather excruciating note with rage, flames, brimstone and the scent of public bathrooms and burning meat. Little by little, hints of optimism find their way in throughout the week, a sort of hope that we may emerge from hell not fully cooked.
This week’s Mars-Juno-Pluto T-square has already been in effect for a few days and will continue to be until November 11th. Already, many of us have very much seen the missiles, sirens, anger, and even violence. As I’ve mentioned before, the asteroid Juno is most commonly associated with marriage, commitment and fidelity, but she is also strongly linked to betrayal and she is incredibly angry. In myth, she was married to a very powerful man, Jupiter, who constantly betrayed her while she remained unwaveringly loyal despite her intense rage, and she frequently sought revenge on him, his lovers, and the children resulting from his affairs. While her methods of dealing with her justified anger are questionable, she is not the “jealous” woman described by some – she was rightfully angry at a man who failed to honor his commitment to her, and she stood true to her own values, never stooping to his level.
Juno transits typically bring up all of these topics. Juno has been in Libra since August, and as I said it would be back in August when this transit began, this has in fact been a time during which many people have been evaluating their relationships of all kinds (not just romantic relationships), weighing the pros and cons, and attempting to come to final decisions on what and who is worth committing to.
Now, Juno sits at 29º Libra, Mars sits at 29º Cancer, and Pluto sits at 29º Capricorn. It’s the end of the line for all three of these transits. The weighing and evaluation associated with Juno in Libra is coming to a head and the gavel must be used, the frustration associated with Mars in Cancer is boiling over, and the intensity & amplification powers of Pluto in Capricorn are near their maximum. November 1st’s new moon in Scorpio is even ruled by Mars in Cancer as it sits in this tense configuration, and we are offered a new opportunity to respond to this story of intense frustration, rage, relational toxicity and unethical power dynamics by turning a fresh new page.
Behind the paywall you’ll find your transits for the week ahead, your monthly forecast, and your horoscope for the month ahead and for November’s new & full moons.
